About Ewea Pettis
Ewea Pettis is an industrial engineer and the founder of Somi Consulting, where she helps growth-stage nonprofits engineer operational and structural clarity so their teams can execute with confidence. As nonprofits grow, complexity often increases faster than structure. Ewea works with nonprofit leaders to identify structural bottlenecks in decision-making and redesign how ownership and authority flow across their organizations so teams can move forward with clarity. Before founding Somi Consulting, Ewea built her career in logistics, manufacturing, and operations leadership, applying systems thinking and continuous improvement in complex environments, including international learning experiences focused on operational systems design. She now also serves as Volunteer Engagement Manager at World Relief Memphis, where she designs volunteer engagement systems that strengthen community partnerships and support refugee and immigrant services. Ewea’s work sits at the intersection of engineering and nonprofit leadership. She brings a systems perspective to mission-driven organizations and helps leaders design the clarity and structure their teams need to execute and grow sustainably.
