About this session

As nonprofit organizations grow, complexity often increases faster than structure. Decisions that once moved quickly begin to slow down. Teams wait for direction. Leaders become the default decision-maker for issues that should be handled across the organization. Many nonprofit leaders experience this moment when everything seems to route back through them.

In this session, I introduce a systems perspective on nonprofit leadership and explore how decision flow and ownership shape the way organizations execute their mission. Drawing from my background as an industrial engineer and my experience working inside nonprofit operations, participants will learn how to identify hidden structural bottlenecks that slow execution and place unnecessary pressure on leadership. Participants will leave with practical tools and diagnostic questions they can immediately use to clarify ownership, strengthen leadership alignment, and support sustainable organizational growth.
