About this session

Nonprofit professionals are leaving the sector at unprecedented rates, not because they've stopped caring about the mission, but because organizations lack the systems to protect the mental health of the people doing essential community work. This session moves beyond generic "self-care" advice to provide clinically-informed, culturally responsive strategies for preventing burnout and building resilient teams that can sustain impact long-term.

Drawing on clinical expertise in treatment and trauma-informed care, this interactive workshop will equip participants with practical tools to recognize early burnout warning signs, implement evidence-based intervention strategies, and create organizational cultures that prioritize workforce wellbeing without sacrificing mission delivery. Participants will engage in reflective exercises to assess their own burnout risk factors, practice a brief trauma-informed debriefing protocol, and map a concrete action plan for their organization.
